What does it cost to get a medical marijuana card?
The state fee for a medical marijuana card is $150 or $75 if you receive food stamps. The other costs associated with the card are any doctor’s fees incurred. Your primary physician may sign the specific Physician Certification form provided by Arizona Department of Health Services, or you may see a doctor just for the certification. If this is the case, you will need to provide medical records to the doctor if he or she is not your primary physician.
At High Desert Healing, we can book you an appointment with a doctor who provides certifications for qualifying patients. This fee is $100 and includes submitting your paperwork to the state.
What are the qualifying conditions for medical marijuana?
Cancer, Glaucoma, Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), Hepatitis C, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Crohn’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Agitation of Alzheimer’s disease, A chronic or debilitating disease or medical condition or the treatment for a chronic or debilitating disease or medical condition that causes: Cachexia or wasting syndrome; Severe and chronic pain; Severe nausea; Seizures, including those characteristic of epilepsy; Severe or persistent muscle spasms, including those characteristic of multiple sclerosis.
How much marijuana can I purchase?
2.5 ounces every 14 days. This is about 70 grams.
Can I bring in my parent/spouse/other person’s card to purchase medicine for them?
The qualified patient must be present to purchase medical marijuana from a dispensary. If you need to purchase medicine for someone else, you must obtain a caregiver card.
What is the patient rewards program? How do I enroll?
Each person is automatically enrolled in the loyalty rewards program when they make their first purchase at High Desert Healing. You receive 1 point for every non-taxable dollar that you spend. You can redeem the points for free stuff!
